Syndeya ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Application"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Collection of Your Information

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:

  • Account Registration Data: To use the Application, you are required to create an account. We collect personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address, that you voluntarily give to us when you register. This mandatory registration is directly tied to the core functionality of the Application, allowing us to securely back up your CRM database, sync your private connections across devices, and restore your in-app data if you ever reinstall the Application.

  • Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Application, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Application.

  • Mobile Device Access: We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device to provide core functionalities. Specifically, we request access to your Camera to allow you to scan physical business cards via the Magic Scan feature, and your Microphone to allow you to record and transcribe voice memos. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.

  • Mobile Device Data: Device information, such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer, and information about the location of your device, if you access the Application from a mobile device.

2. Use of Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We use the information we collect about you via the Application to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Application.

  • Improve, personalize, and expand our Application.

  • Understand and analyze how you use our Application.

  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.

  • Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the Application, and for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Send you emails.

  • Find and prevent fraud.

  • Data Usage for Utility: We use your contact data strictly for the utility of the application features, such as logging interactions and setting reminders. We do not use your contact data for training artificial intelligence models unrelated to your direct user experience.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

  • By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, specifically cloud hosting, authentication, and AI processing services including Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, and Google Generative AI. We confirm that any third-party provider with whom we share user data will provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this policy.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your personal data and network contacts only for as long as your account is active. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. You can initiate the complete deletion of your account and all associated data directly from within the Application's settings. Upon account deletion, your profile, stored contacts, and voice memos are permanently removed from our active databases.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

6. Policy for Children

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
